Get Your Free Test-at-Home COVID-19 Kits Today

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, it’s important to have access to testing kits at home. The good news is that the US Postal Service is offering free COVID-19 tests thanks to a $600 million investment from the White House. Each household in the US can order four tests, and it only takes a couple of minutes to do so.

The Postal Service has been intermittently taking orders for free COVID-19 tests since January 2022. They have delivered a total of 20 tests per household over four rounds of shipments. Although the program was initially paused due to a lack of tests and funding, it has now been restarted.

How to Order Free Tests

Ordering free tests from the USPS is quick and straightforward. Simply visit the special.USPS.com/testkits website, or you can go to covidtests.gov. Provide your contact and shipping information, and then proceed to check out. You won’t need to provide any payment details since both the tests and the shipping are free. Alternatively, if you have trouble ordering online, you can call 800-232-0233 to request your free tests.

It’s important to note that the availability of the free tests may be limited, so it’s best to order them as soon as possible.

Other Free Testing Options

In addition to the free tests provided by the Postal Service, there are three other main options for free COVID-19 testing in the US: HRSA health centers, Test to Treat locations, and ICATT testing sites.

HRSA health centers, funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration, offer free COVID-19 testing. Use HRSA’s locator tool to find a center near you. Test to Treat locations provide both testing and treatment for COVID-19. You can use their locator tool to find an eligible center in your area. ICATT is specifically designed for uninsured patients and provides free testing. Use the ICATT locator tool to find a testing location near you.
