Discover the World of Sounds with Roland’s Galaxias Software Instrument
Explore 20,000 Sounds with Galaxias
Roland has just unveiled its latest software plugin instrument, Galaxias. With access to an impressive library of 20,000 sounds, Galaxias is being hailed as “one big super instrument.” This versatile plugin functions as a standalone application on macOS and Windows, and can also be used as a VST3 or AU plugin.
A Comprehensive Sound Collection
Galaxias offers access to sounds from Roland’s extensive history, including presets sourced from classic instruments like the Jupiter 8 synthesizer and the TR 808 drum machine. But it doesn’t stop there – this software instrument also includes sounds from more recent releases such as Zenology. In fact, Galaxias provides access to any instrument available via Roland Cloud.
Create Custom Soundscapes
One unique feature of Galaxias is the ability to layer up to four instruments together, along with two effects per layer. This allows for the creation of custom soundscapes that Roland calls Scenes. With macro controls and an external MIDI controller, you can easily modify up to 128 parameters to achieve your desired sound.
Intuitive Interface and Regular Updates
Galaxias, like other Roland software instruments, is designed with a user-friendly interface that allows for customized organization options. This ensures that you can quickly find and recall your favorite presets without any hassle. Roland also promises regular updates, so you can expect to see more sounds and capabilities added to Galaxias in the future.
Try Galaxias for Free
If you’re curious about Galaxias, you can try it out for free with the 30-day trial. After that, Galaxias is included with a Roland Cloud membership, priced at $200 per year or $20 per month. With its vast collection of sounds and powerful creative features, Galaxias opens up a world of sonic possibilities for musicians and producers of all skill levels.
