Connections Puzzle #116: Clues, Themes, and Solutions

If you’re looking for the Connections answer for Thursday, October 5, 2023, read on. We’ll share some clues, tips, and strategies, and finally the solutions to all four categories.

The yellow category for today’s Connections puzzle is division, with the words ARM, BRANCH, CHAPTER, and WING. The green category is imperial units, with the words BUSHEL, PECK, STONE, and TON. The blue category is for M.L.B. team members, with the words ANGEL, CUB, MET, and RED. And finally, the purple category is insect homophones, with the words AUNT, BEATLE, FLEE, and NAT.

If you’re not familiar with how to play Connections, here’s a refresher on the rules. Find the Connections game on the New York Times website or in their Crossword app. You’ll see a game board with 16 tiles, each with one word or phrase. Your job is to select a group of four tiles that have something in common. Once you’ve made your guess, you’ll find out if you’re correct or if you need to try again. You win when you’ve correctly identified all four groups.

Remember, the groupings can be tricky, with overlapping categories. Take your time and think outside the box to find the connections. Good luck and have fun!
