Apple Music Ends Voice Plan, mirroring Streaming Price Hikes

Apple Music is discontinuing its Voice Plan, a cheaper subscription option that allowed users to access their music library through Siri. This move follows the trend of other streaming providers, such as YouTube and Netflix, who have recently increased their subscription prices. These price hikes, along with the elimination of low-priced tiers, are making it more difficult for everyday users to afford streaming services. This phenomenon has been coined as ‘streamflation,’ with the average monthly price of major streaming services increasing by almost 25% between August 2022 and August this year.
