The Economist Intelligence Unit has released its latest Worldwide Cost of Living report, revealing the top 10 most expensive cities in the world. Three US cities, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, made it to the list, with New York dropping to third place from last year’s tie with Singapore. Western European cities dominated half of the top 20 spots, while North American cities, on average, fell in the rankings compared to the previous year. Moscow and St Petersburg witnessed the largest drop in rankings due to Western sanctions, and the world’s cheapest cities included Damascus, Tehran, Buenos Aires, and Chennai.
