Cruise has temporarily halted all its driverless operations after its permits were suspended by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This decision comes after recent announcements from GM CEO Mary Barra, who emphasized safety as a priority for Cruise’s expansion. Cruise will continue operations in cities outside of California but only with autonomous vehicles that have drivers present.
