14th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée: Celebrating ‘Moonlight in Morocco’
The 14th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée, known as ‘Moonlight in Morocco,’ is set to be a night of unforgettable sights, sounds, and cuisine. Presented by UKG on Saturday, Nov. 4, the event will take place at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale.
More than 250 emerging philanthropists, community leaders, and business professionals passionate about arts-in-education programs are expected to attend. These programs benefit over 100,000 students annually at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Guests will be treated to an exquisite evening of dining and dancing onstage at The Parker. The highlight of the event will be a live performance by Michael Glabicki and guitarist Dirk Miller of the multi-platinum band Rusted Root. With their polyrhythmic, multicultural rock-and-soul music, Rusted Root has captivated audiences worldwide since its formation in 1990.
Event Chair Jason B. Blank of Haber Blank LLP expressed his excitement about the live performance at this year’s Soirée. He also thanked the sponsors and committee members who have joined forces to support arts-in-education and make a lasting impact on the lives of local students through exposure to the arts.

The Ghost Light Society, established in 2009, was formed with the aim of encouraging and motivating a new generation of performing arts supporters. The annual Soirée raises funds to support the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ arts-in-education program, which is the nation’s most extensive free program of its kind. To date, this program has benefited over 3.5 million students in Broward County.
