Andrea Shaw’s Dominance
Ever since the Ms. Olympia made its return in 2020, Andrea Shaw has been unstoppable as its champion. She has secured victory in both the Rising Phoenix and Ms. Olympia contests for three consecutive years. Following her win at the 2023 Rising Phoenix, Shaw sets her sights on achieving a remarkable four-peat win at the Olympia.
Prejudging at the Olympia World Fitness Expo
On Nov. 3, 2023, the journey begins with prejudging at the Olympia World Fitness Expo. All ten contenders are announced and compared in numerical order. With Olympia owner Jake Wood in attendance, the judges carefully assess each competitor. A series of callouts determines the order of the groups.

During the prejudging event, Shaw and Yeo stand out. Yeo delivers an outstanding physique, receiving applause from the audience. Shaw, a crowd favorite, exudes confidence during her routine. A wardrobe issue leads to a brief interruption, but once resolved, Shaw and Yeo are compared in the center of the callout, signaling their contention for the championship.
Although the contenders for the title are apparent, the trophy will only be presented during the evening finals on the main Olympia stage at the Orange County Convention Center. BarBend will provide updates on all 11 world championship contests taking place in Orlando throughout the weekend.
2023 Olympia Weekend
The morning of Nov. 3, 2023, kicks off with prejudging in the Fitness division. Defending champion Missy Truscott competes alongside Ariel Khadr, Jodi Boam, and Whitney Jones. Following this, the 212 Olympia prejudging features defending champion Shaun Clarida and Keone Pearson in the final callout.
Cydney Gillon, a six-time defending champion, holds a central position in the first and last callouts of the Figure division. The Women’s Physique prejudging event presents a rematch between defending champion Natalia Abraham Coelho and former two-time champion Sarah Villegas in the final callout.
The remaining divisions, Wellness and Mr. Olympia, have their prejudging on Friday and hold their finals later that same evening. However, the Mr. Olympia division takes the spotlight and closes out the Olympia on Saturday.
