Fun Summer Snack: Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Pops

If you’re looking for a fun summer snack to make with the kids, try these Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Pops. They’re easy to make and even more fun to eat!

  1. Start by slicing a banana into pieces about the width of the top of your finger. There’s no exact measurement, so just eyeball it.
  2. Insert a small food skewer into each banana slice. Using a skewer like Pick Sticks works great.
  3. Melt some chocolate, either milk, dark, or white. You can do this in a small glass for a good depth to dip the banana.
  4. Dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, coating them completely.
  5. Lay the chocolate-covered banana slices on a plate or small tray and sprinkle some colorful toppings over them.
  6. Put the tray in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.

These Frozen Banana Pops are best eaten right after removing them from the freezer. The banana will start to deteriorate as it defrosts, so it’s not recommended to keep them in the freezer for more than a day. However, you can make them the night before and keep them in the freezer overnight.
