Vietnamese Man Builds Functional Wooden Replica of Tesla Cybertruck

A Woodworking Enthusiast’s Impressive Creation

In anticipation of the release of the highly anticipated Tesla Cybertruck, one man in Vietnam has taken his love for woodworking and cars to a remarkable level. Truong Van Dao, a talented woodworker and car enthusiast, has built a fully functional replica of Tesla’s futuristic electric truck entirely out of wood.

Dao, who hails from Bac Ninh, a small town in northern Vietnam, has become well-known for his collection of functional wooden vehicles, including a tank, a Bugatti replica, and a child-sized Mercedes AVTR. As an admirer of Elon Musk and Tesla, Dao decided to take on the challenge of constructing a wooden Cybertruck.

The Creation Process

Dao documented the entire process of building the wooden Cybertruck on his YouTube channel, ND-Woodworking Art. Starting with a metal chassis, frame, and wheels, he meticulously added wooden panels, seats, and wheel trims. He even included LED blinkers and an illuminated “X” logo on one of the doors to replicate the design features of the real Cybertruck.

The wooden Cybertruck cost Dao approximately $15,000 to build. Despite being made predominantly of wood, he ensured that it is waterproof, making it suitable for everyday use. Adding to the authenticity, Dao also constructed a functional wooden Cyberquad that fits perfectly in the pick-up truck replica for his young son to enjoy.
