PlayStation Announces Lineup for PS Plus in October; Includes Horror Game The Callisto Protocol

PlayStation has revealed the games that will be available on PS Plus in October, and there’s a spooky addition to the lineup. The Callisto Protocol, a survival horror game set on the moon Callisto, headlines the list. Players will take control of Jacob Lee, a would-be prison escapee, as he faces a monster plague outbreak. However, the game’s release comes amidst the news that Glen Schofield, the game’s creator, is leaving the developer Striking Distance. Reports suggest that the departure may have been prompted by the game’s underwhelming sales.

Alongside The Callisto Protocol, gamers can also enjoy Farming Simulator 22 and Weird West as part of their PS Plus subscription. Farming Simulator 22 offers multiplayer and co-op gameplay, allowing players to work together in planning and maintaining their farms. With new environments from America and Europe, as well as the introduction of seasonal cycles, this edition promises an immersive farming experience. Additionally, console users can easily access mods to enhance their gaming experience.

While not a horror game officially, Weird West brings a touch of gothic fantasy to the Western genre. This isometric action RPG features multiple storylines and characters, giving players the opportunity to make choices that will impact the overall plot. With its horror elements, it’s a fitting game to play during the spooky month of October.
