Logitech Unveils AI-Powered Zone Wireless 2 Headset for Hybrid Workers

Logitech has announced the release of the Zone Wireless 2, an AI-powered headset designed to enhance communication in hybrid work environments. The headset incorporates advanced AI technology to deliver a noise-free calling experience, allowing business professionals to communicate clearly and effectively even in noisy surroundings.

One of the standout features of the Zone Wireless 2 is its ability to suppress ambient noise on the other person’s side of the call, even if that person is not using a noise-canceling headset. This is particularly beneficial in today’s hybrid work setups, where people often work in different spaces and background noise can hinder collaboration and productivity.

A recent study found that 85% of work-from-home users face audio issues, including background noise and subpar sound quality. However, many hybrid workforces lack the proper tools, including high-quality headsets, to address these challenges. Logitech aims to bridge this gap with the release of the Zone Wireless 2.

The headset features Advanced Call Clarity, an AI-based feature activated through Logi Tune. This feature effectively separates the other caller’s voice from background noise, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communication. The Zone Wireless 2 also incorporates noise-canceling microphones and advanced beamforming technology to capture the user’s voice and suppress distracting sounds and nearby conversations, creating a dynamic two-way noise suppression system.

In addition to noise cancellation, the Zone Wireless 2 offers hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) to block out ambient noise in employee workspaces, as well as a transparency mode for users to remain aware of their surroundings. The headset also includes a Personal EQ feature that allows users to customize their audio experience according to their individual hearing range.

Connectivity is another key aspect of the Zone Wireless 2. The headset supports multipoint Bluetooth and smart enumeration, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity throughout the workday. The smart enumeration technology intelligently switches between headset and computer audio, eliminating the need for manual toggling or dongle removal.

The Zone Wireless 2 boasts a long battery life of up to 40 hours, with a quick five-minute charge providing up to one hour of talk time. It features a modern design with soft and breathable earcups, available in graphite, off-white, and rose color options.

For IT management, the Zone Wireless 2 is certified for popular communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Voice, and Fast Pair. Integration with Logitech’s device management platform, Sync, allows for secure, remote management of Logitech devices.

Logitech has also made sustainability a priority in the development of the Zone Wireless 2. The headset contains 20% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, and the aluminum parts are sourced through a renewable energy process. The packaging is made from materials obtained from responsible forest management sources.

The Zone Wireless 2 is now available globally on logitech.com and through authorized resellers, with a suggested retail price of $300.
