Experimental Sea Drone ‘Sea Baby’ Damages Russian Military Ships

The Sea Baby, an experimental sea drone developed by Ukraine’s security services, has been responsible for multiple covert drone operations against Russia. The drone, which can carry more than 1,850 pounds of explosives, recently damaged a missile carrier and a patrol boat belonging to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. This attack could strain Russia’s repair facilities, according to experts. Reports suggest that the Sea Baby can operate in stormy conditions by hiding behind high waves, making it difficult to detect. Ukraine has been relying on self-destructing drones, including budget drones retrofitted with deadly explosives, as a key part of its arsenal. The effectiveness of these drones allows Ukraine to target and destroy Russian equipment, which costs millions of dollars, with drones that are relatively inexpensive to build.
